Bass Pale Ale a pioneer in international brand marketing by applying a red triangle to casks of its Pale Ale. After 1855 the triangles were red, white or blue depending on which of three breweries it came from.
The brief was to bring this original pale ale back into the hearts of Londoners with a unique pub experience. External signs, 48 sheets, bar runners and pump branding were designed to celebrate the heritage of this classic ale and to deliver it into the modern day, enabling Bass House to compete with the new wave of ales that are abundant in our pub culture.
Using my background in sign writing I designed and painted large illustrations of beers, alongside scripture detailing the company’s history on the walls of an authentic Kentish Town pub.
